On a mission to create more ways to communicate with and reach its customers, MultiChoice Botswana recently launched an exciting multi-purpose YouTube channel, called Dintshang?! With DStv.
Dintshang?! With DStv is a one-stop-shop which gives customers one more place to learn more about the pay-TV operator’s content and services. Hosted by MultiChoice Talent Factory Class of 2021 alumna, Lorato Orapeleng, and produced by MTF Class of 2019 alumnae, Nikita Mokgware and Serena Mmifinyana (N&M Productions), Dintshang?! With DStv offers a bird’s eye view into the business, whilst also promising to be filled with fun features and content reviews from local content creators.
“We are constantly looking at new ways in which we can better reach our customers, and with social media, particularly streaming sites such as YouTube, being highly influential, we took the decision to bring our customers more through launching this YouTube channel,” says Lorato Mwape, MultiChoice Botswana Managing Director. “We were also very intentional in how we selected those who would be involved in bringing this concept to life. We believe in empowering our own and providing them with opportunities to grow their craft, and so it was truly a no-brainer to bring on our MTF alumnae to help us in making this a reality.”
Speaking on the experience of being behind a monumental development in customer experience for MultiChoice Botswana customers, Nikita Mokgware had this to say: “This has been one of a few projects we have worked on with MultiChoice since we graduated and it being the first of its kind for the company we are really looking forward to growing with it and seeing it become what MultiChoice envisions for it.”
Dintshang?! With DStv will also be the home of an exciting upcoming content review feature titled The Real TV Critics of BW, which sees some of Botswana’s beloved social media influencers and celebrities coming together to dish on their favorite, and not-so-favorite, shows on DStv. The channel will also feature authentic customer testimonials, previews of upcoming content and in-depth interviews with some of our local content channels including NOW! TV and our three local audio channels. “Information is power and as a service provider it is our obligation to keep our customers informed in the easiest way possible,” adds Mwape.
