Multichoice Botswana

Gaborone, 1 August 2022. On the 27th of July 2022 the Government of Botswana announced that it will reduce the value added tax (VAT) rate by 2% from 14% to 12% effective 3rd August 2022 for a period of 6 months. The reduction of the VAT rate is part of a package of measures put in place by the government to cushion the impact of rising global inflation on households and the economy.
