Orlando (Soweto) Towers Unplugged

Orlando (Soweto) Towers

Come journey with us via Orlando, to the Orlando (Soweto) Towers – a distinctive landmark in Soweto, Johannesburg, South Africa.

The original Orlando Towers were a coal-fired power plant. This is also a site of the world’s first-ever bungee jump between these 333 feet (100m) tall twin cooling towers.

The towers are also used for bungee and BASE jumping from a platform between the top of the two towers as well as a bungee swing into one of the towers.

These towers are each 33 storeys high, promising an adrenaline rush that is nothing short of gut-wrenching. We were truly happy to enjoy and partake in these activities recently alongside other varied media personalities from Namibia, Lesotho, eSwatini, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Mozambique, Kenya, Malawi, just to name but a few.
