Celebrate Heritage Month With MTN Joyous Celebration Super Sundays

MTN JC

As South Africa celebrates Heritage month, MTN Joyous Celebration launches Super Sundays, a new series of monthly Praise and Worship sessions following the highly successful release of the ensemble’s 25th album, “Still We Rise’ released in April and still making waves today.

MTN Joyous Celebration Super Sundays are 60-minute online sessions that will be presented every last Sunday of the month for the rest of the year, starting this heritage month on Sunday 26 September 2021. These one-hour sessions will incorporate praise and worship songs from the ensembles’ wide repertoire and also feature a guest artist and pastor.

The first Super Sunday show premiers at 11h00 on Sunday 26 September 2021 and will remain available on the platform for a further 48 hours. Furthermore, access to the show will be FREE for all JoyousTV subscribers provided that their subscription, which also enables them to consume lots of other Joyous content, is active.

The Super Sunday shows will be broadcast exclusively on JoyousTV, Joyous’ own recently launched content platform that offers premium and old Joyous video content including past shows and DVDs.

“FOR THE PAST EIGHTEEN MONTHS, WE’VE BEEN UNABLE TO GO ON TOUR AND CONNECT WITH OUR AUDIENCES. ALTHOUGH LOCKDOWN RESTRICTIONS HAVE BEEN EASED SLIGHTLY, NUMBERS ARE STILL LIMITED AND MANY PEOPLE ARE STILL SKEPTICAL ABOUT ATTENDING PLACES OF WORSHIP. WE THEREFORE DECIDED TO BRING PRAISE & WORSHIP INTO PEOPLE’S HOMES AT LEAST ONCE A MONTH THROUGH THESE SUPER SUNDAYS”, SAID PASTOR MTHUNZI NAMBA.

“As the inspiration for Super Sundays is a traditional Sunday service, we have put together an ensemble from our current cast to anchor the praise and worship session interspersed with the Word and a guest performer from our bigger Joyous family”, says co-founder, Dr Lindelani Mkhize who is also producing the show. “We are really excited at the opportunity of presenting these monthly sessions especially in our milestone anniversary year and hope to continue beyond 2021”, he adds.

“As a proud supporter of our customer’s passion, we are committed to bringing them closer to their favourite gospel group. Customers and fans can download the ayoba app (https://i.ayo.ba/YgBb/487ad9de) and subscribe to the MTN Joyous Celebration channel to access latest news updates, exclusive competitions and behind the scene content of their favourite gospel ensemble, says Jacqui O’Sullivan, Executive: Corporate Affairs, MTN SA.

Joyous fans, supporters and lovers of gospel music can catch MTN Joyous Celebration Super Sundays every last Sunday of the month from 26 September and so much more by simply subscribing to Joyous TV (www.JoyousTV.com).
