Standard Bank Luju Festival Media Accreditation Now Open!

Applications for Media Accreditation are now open for the 6th edition of the Standard Bank Luju Food & Lifestyle Festival, taking place from Friday 2nd to Saturday 3rd August 2024 at House On Fire in Malkerns, Eswatini.

The festival invites journalists, photographers, videographers and bloggers from established and reputable national, regional or international media houses to cover the experiential range of unique culinary exploits, dazzling fashion, sophisticated music, and craft beverages that the Standard Bank Luju Food & Lifestyle Festival is best known for.

Through culinary showcases by celebrity chefs, and fabulous fashion designs inspired by the Luju ethos, “A Return to the African Future”, the festival celebrates the sophistication and elegance of African vintage style, creative design and delicacies. Thousands of festivalgoers will once again #EatSwayLove and relish the beauty of our heritage and culture, in all its Afro-futuristic boldness.

Media Accreditation applications will close on Thursday 25th July 2024.

Applications can be made through the Media Accreditation page on the Luju Festival website, https://lujufestival.com/media-accreditation/. Media will be required to fill out an application form from the Eswatini Ministry of Information, Communications and Technology before the festival can accredit them.

The Standard BankFood & Lifestyle Festival is a major media event that attracts media practitioners and journalists from newspapers, magazines, wire and news services, radio and television stations and networks, including relevant online publications, across the region. Travel, food and fashion writers are encouraged to apply.

Accredited media will be able to attend media press conferences, request interviews with artists, and have access to the front of stage for photos and videos. The designated Media Centre, equipped with power and wireless internet, is the festival hub for media information and interviews and journalists are encouraged to make use of it.

It should be noted that media accreditation does not include any travel or accommodation unless specifically pre-arranged with the Standard Bank Luju Food & Lifestyle Festival. Journalists should ensure they book accommodation early, as nearby lodgings fill up quickly. This year, the festival has a public campsite. Accredited journalists may want to consider purchasing camping passes.

Please read the application requirements carefully and email completed forms and attachments to karla@redflag.co.za for forwarding to the Ministry of ICT. Media queries and interview requests may be directed to the same address. More information is available on the festival website.
