The Dialogue Group Donates To Local Charity!

“Every year as The Dialogue Group, we ensure that we choose a Centre to donate to, so be assured that this is not the beginning nor the end. From here we will plead with our partners to reach out and offer a hand.” – General Manager, Kelebogile Chunga.

Tsogang Trust is a non-profit organization established in 1991 by Mme Gosatla Chabe to shelter vulnerable children in need. They are housing about 73 children of ages 1-19 years.

According to the coordinator, Mr. Lebogang Rantsie, they don’t have cash in hand and depend on donors. But with that being the situation, they need to feed the children they house; they often use up to P20,000 per month on welfare.

A group of girls and young women that run SKY Girls BW selected Tsogang as a local non-profit that contributes to the lives of children in Botswana which is part of their mandate as community members. SKY Girls BW runs under the Dialogue Group, a leading marketing and advertising agency; it is an initiative that aims to empower girls to stay true to themselves and rmake choices that are true to them.

Kele, who was the keynote at the giving ceremony continued to say, “we saw it fit to donate to Tsogang because the children they take care of fall within the same age group that SKY is trying to reach. The environment of the world we live in is quite dire. Because of that, we appreciate the efforts made by Tsogang.”

“When you speak of 73, in the larger scheme of things you may think you’re not doing enough but we recognize and appreciate your efforts.”

“I managed to appreciate the facilities and the newly built house, built by BHC. It is a nice home built with love.”

“The donation here is purely from the SKY Girls BW team. The team is run by girls and young women much like the ones that are sheltered here.”

Gaone Manatong, SKY Girls BW director, and the producer of Sure Ka Rafiwa, was present to hand over the donations from the production.

“We are offering a full house from the set of our show including couches, carpets, a TV stand, single beds and bedding, a fridge, a stove, a dinner table and chairs, a chest of draws, male and female clothing, sneakers, school shoes, toys, kitchen utensils, books, food, and we managed to sneak in some snacks for the kids to enjoy.” – Gaone.

This handing over was a success where we also had 2 main characters from Sure Ka Rafiwa present—Arona Masoso and Tshegofatso Monyika who both are waiting on their form 5 results.
