After travelling across Botswana since June and engaging hundreds of Batswana in financial literacy, the Masheleng 2025 Financial Literacy National Tour will conclude with a grand finale on Saturday, 18 October 2025, from 8:30 AM until lunch time, at Oasis Motel.
The tour began in June in Maun and travelled across major towns in Botswana, successfully sparking vital conversations on money education and financial confidence. Each stop drew strong community participation, showing the demand for simple, practical, and relatable tools to navigate personal finance.
The Gaborone finale is set to be the flagship event of the tour, expected to draw the largest audience and attract significant media coverage. The programme will feature financial leaders, practical money sessions, and opportunities for community engagement.
Founder and financial literacy expert Seatla Ratshosa said:
“Botswana is at a crossroads. Rising living costs, limited job opportunities, and the pressure of financial responsibilities are leaving many families stretched thin. Yet, in every challenge lies opportunity. My journey with Masheleng has shown me that with the right knowledge and tools, people can turn financial struggles into strategies for growth. This tour is not just about teaching money skills, it’s about equipping Batswana to thrive in today’s economy and build wealth that lasts for generations.”
Tour coordinator and campaign strategist Gauta Eyman added:
“The Masheleng platform has always been about access and inclusion. To ensure no one is left behind, we have sponsored 40 tickets for deserving youth across Botswana in honour of Seatla Ratshosa’s birthday this year. The finale will not only be about learning but also about creating opportunities, which is why stalls will be available to support local entrepreneurs.”
Tickets are available at P350 (general), P750 (standard), and P1,250 (VIP). Stalls for entrepreneurs will also form part of the event, creating space for business exposure and community participation.
