BWLINGOs now accessible via 17373

Launched 10 years, Botswana Languages (BWLINGOs) is a project which was aimed at preserving Botswana languages and make it easy to learn native languages from all tribes in Botswana. Having had success with the mobile applications across the world which saw some of the apps like Learn Setswana being adopted in a partnership with a set of German overseas volunteers based at the Madikwe Rural Development Program in South Africa to develop a German to Setswana version, BWLINGOs is back with a more convenient service for locals.

Bwlingos is a fun app for learning Botswana languages through short, simple lessons. It is designed as a learn-as you go app. The new app is designed as an aid to teach the basics of our languages. It covers Setswana, Kalanga, Sekgalagadi, Subia, Shiyeyi and English. You can learn how to write, spell and pronounce words.

One can simply subscribe to the service by sending dbwlingos or wbwlingos or mbwlingos to 17373 for daily, weekly and monthly service respectively. Users will be charged P1 for daily access, P7 for weekly access and P15 for monthly access.

The service is currently available for Orange Botswana users only and will be rolled out to other mobile operators by early next year.
