Alcoholics Anonymous Botswana Hosts Annual Recovery Rally

Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) Botswana is pleased to announce its Annual AA Rally, to be held Saturday, November 1st, 2025, at Botho University, Gaborone Campus. The Rally is open to the general public free of charge, with sessions starting at 08:30 AM.

The Rally provides a safe and welcoming environment where people can learn how AA and Al-Anon help individuals and families recover from the effects of alcohol addiction. It is an opportunity for anyone who is struggling with drinking—or concerned about someone who is—to hear real stories of hope and recovery.

About Alcoholics Anonymous (AA)

AA is a global fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength, and hope to help each other achieve and maintain sobriety. The program is not affiliated with any religion, institution, or political movement. It is based on anonymity, mutual support, and a simple spiritual foundation that members interpret in their own way.

In Botswana, AA meetings are held in Gaborone (Gabz Angels AA Group) and Francistown (Keep It Simple AA Group), with hybrid and virtual options available to ensure access for anyone who needs help.

About Al-Anon

Running alongside AA is Al-Anon, a separate fellowship for friends and family members affected by someone’s drinking. Al-Anon meetings provide understanding and support for those who live with or care about someone struggling with alcoholism.

In Botswana, AlAnon meetings are held in Gaborone (AlAnon Gaborone Group), with hybrid and virtual options available to ensure access for anyone who needs help.
