The Grand Palm Hotel, Casino and Convention Resort is bringing fire to Mother’s Day weekend by hosting two South African A-list television and entertainment personalities, Claire Mawisa and Rami Chuene. Popularly known for her outstanding journalisticrole in Carte Blanche, Mawisa has managed to keep up with the ever-changing industry.
This beauty queen and media personality has worked her way up to become the person she is today. The two arrived in Gaborone on Friday (today) and are expected to spend a glam weekend courtesy of the ultimate business and leisure experience hotel with exciting family-oriented activities lined up for them. The two were this afternoon treated to a safari tour at Mokolodi Game Reserve.
On Saturday, Mawisa and Chuene will relax at the luxurious Camelot Spa for a massage treat while Sunday will see the duo joining the hotel’s Brunch with Mom at the Boma. The Grand Palm Hotel Marketing Officer, Samantha Bogopa said the hotel looks forward to celebrating thus year’s Mother’s Day in honor of all mothers across the hotel’s clientele.
Furthermore, Bogopa said the duo’s visit to Botswana was made possible courtesy of the mutual relationship the hotel has with various SA celebrities, adding that Mawisa and Chuene come to Botswana at a time when the hospitality industry is reeling in shock due to the covid-19 pandemic and as thus, the hotel remains hopeful things will normalize for the better soon.
“We want to celebrate Mother’s Day in a special way, and we can’t ignore that our clientele watches these personalities (Mawisa and Chuene) on television, therefore we are giving them a little surprise as an addition to the package that the hotel is giving to its customers. During a strictly managed lunch on Mother’s Day, they will make special appearances to meet and interact with their fans,” said Bogopa.
The event aptly tagged Brunch with Mom at the Boma will be hosted by Martin Fani and entertainment will be provided by former Mophato Theatre Dance Group member now turned solo, Star Hezek. The two RSA personalities will be joined by the Grand Palm Hotel Operations Manager, Keletso Bogatsu and the team.
The Mother’s Day package, which comprise of a spa voucher, lunch and a gift bag sell for only P700. The expected dress code is keeping it floral.
