Wilderness Safaris extends free flying offer through 2022

April 2021 – Wilderness Safaris is delighted to extend its innovative Free Flying deal to the end of 2022. Incorporating nearly all of its camps in Botswana, plus its camps in Hwange National Park, Zimbabwe and Toka Leya in Livingstone, Zambia, this exciting offer makes it possible to book more than one region at excellent value for money, while taking advantage of the superlative guest experience offered by Wilderness Air.

Applicable to all travel dates from now until 31 December 2022, full-paying guests who book a minimum of six nights in Wilderness Safaris’ Botswana*, Livingstone and/or Hwange camps will receive the first three flights or road transfers on a complimentary basis; guests booking a minimum of eight or more nights will receive the first four flights or road transfers for free. The offer works in combination with Wilderness Safaris’ existing long-stay, low-season rates, and those travelling with children and private guides are also eligible. (*Kalahari Plains Camp is excluded from the offer.)

While guests still need the minimum number of nights at Wilderness Safaris camps to benefit from the deal, the offer also applies to guests booking non-Wilderness Safaris camps, as long as they are booked through Wilderness Safaris, and the camps are accessed through the Wilderness Air Botswana and Zimbabwe circuits, and/or the specific road transfers operated by Wilderness Safaris Zimbabwe – i.e. transfers between Kasane and Livingstone (town or airport) or Kasane and Victoria Falls, and vice versa. The offer does not apply on sectors not booked by Wilderness Safaris

For the last 38 years Wilderness Safaris has been offering safe, impactful and life-changing journeys to guests, and in this way helps conserve 2.3 million hectares of precious intact ecosystems and biodiversity, while supporting local communities at the same time. It is also for this reason that Wilderness Safaris is ready and waiting to welcome guests back to Africa, and to ensure that its restorative safaris continue to make a difference in the new world of travel.

“We understand that there are still some concerns around global travel due to COVID-19 and subsequent travel restrictions, but we’d like to reassure our guests that we continue to place the health and safety of our wider community first, through a variety of proactive measures. As a company we have bolstered already existing hygiene and cleanliness measures in all our offices, camps, aircraft and vehicles to be in line with the World Health Organisation guidelines, and are continuing to refine our health and safety procedures in accordance with best practice. We have increased training for all staff through a dedicated task team, and are driving all COVID-19 related matters with input and support from Park Doctor – a not-for-profit medical organisation working to initiate and facilitate partnerships between medical and conservation professionals”, notes Alex Henderson, Wilderness Air GM.

“Our commitment to protecting Africa’s wildlife and people – both internal and external communities – remains a central focus for us. We hope your desire to connect with the natural world, wide-open spaces and with new cultures will be more powerful than ever, and we look forward to welcoming you back safely to Africa, where your life-changing journeys will not only make a difference to our continent, but will inspire you and change your lives too”, Alex concludes.
