There are those gifted creatives whose work usually go unnoticed mostly because they spend most time behind the scenes where they make others shine. King Tux, born Tumelo Johwa could easily fit this description. His resume surpasses his humbleness. Quizzed about his biography, the talented Gaborone-born lad has a full compass of the creative industry.
“I am a television and film producer, actor, presenter, voice over artist and recording artist with over 15 years’ experience. By the way, I have just released my latest single titled YOU featuring South African artist Cristyle. In 2019 I played lead character Moses Maikano in an AFDA produced short film called Stairs, Stacks and Stares which was loosely based on the NPF scandal.”
Furthermore, Tux added, “I also co-produced and acted alongside Donald Molosi and Thabo Rametsi in an international film festival favorite and sci-fi short film called 2064.”
In 2020, we saw the talented lad host season 1 of a talk show by a local production company called Club Media titled Business Unchained and also has a role as pastor Boikanyo on another series called Mojwadi, a drama series which airs on Now TV.
“I have launched my company Indygenius Media Co. I am also open to ambassadorships and collaborations on projects like with BSTV’s Ian P universal. So far this year I have co-produced season1 of -COTUC: clash of the universities and colleges quiz show.”
