GABORONE, Botswana, April 2020/ — MultiChoice Botswana says it’s committed to putting its valued customers at the heart of everything they do and continuously looks at ways to improve customer experience at all touch points within the customer lifecycle. This includes introducing various service-related initiatives and innovations which cater to our customer’s unique needs. MultiChoice Botswana is excited to launch two more self-service platforms, the MyDStv App and WhatsApp Self-Service, giving customers the power to manage their own accounts at their convenience.
As a responsible corporate citizen, MultiChoice Botswana adheres to the government’s national safety precautions and COVID-19 measures. This includes complying with “Extreme Social Distancing” which was put in place on the 3rd of April 2020. Our commitment to our customers and their well-being means we’re making it easier for Batswana to adhere to those measures too.
So, what happens if a customer need to pay or make changes to their DStv account, or if they need technical help because their decoder is displaying an error code?
Instead of travelling to a service centre, customers can either use the MyDStv app for assistance on their mobile device, visit the DStv Botswana social media care platforms on Facebook and Twitter for online help, or use the WhatsApp Self-Service line at 73038902.
Using the MyDStv app, customers are able to easily manage their DStv account by viewing balances and past payments, connecting to alternative payment platforms to make payments, activating new accounts and reconnecting lapsed accounts.
Customers can also upgrade their package during this time using the MyDStv or WhatsApp Self-Service by simply selecting the ‘change package’ tab and making the relevant payment to ensure uninterrupted viewing.
The MyDStv self-service online platform allows you to do all this with the added bonus of providing additional FAQs to answer all your questions and a TV Guide to ensure you never miss your favourite show or that movie you’ve been waiting to watch.
During the “Extreme Social Distancing” 28-day period, MultiChoice Botswana will continue operating as an essential service in Gaborone and Francistown, only. However, as the national directive has made it clear that social distancing is an imperative, we are helping our customers to do their part in staying safe, and staying home.
“We all need to change our behaviour to comply with national guidelines. For MultiChoice customers this means changing the way you pay your account and the way in which you access technical assistance. By using the apps, the websites, WhatsApp or calling the call centre, you can play your role in helping to keep yourself and your fellow Batswana safe at this time while still enjoying the best home video entertainment Africa has to offer,” says MultiChoice Botswana Acting MD, Lorato Mwape.
As we all adjust to new ways of living, you can trust DStv to be your constant companion, wherever you are.
