GABORONE, BOTSWANA — Just like vintage wine, Khumo Kgwaadira popularly known as MissGeeKays to her sundry followers has truly mellowed with time. Over time she continues to prove her mettle by becoming the next big thing both on air and as a leading female MC, thanks to her eloquence and vivacity.

Just recently, the full of life radio personality met up with the cast of South Africa’s popular TV drama, The River,  which beams on Msanzi Magic  and who knows, there could be a looming acting role for her soon.

She’s quite big on the social media influencer space as seen by her Instagram posts where she continues to collaborate with brands such as the local apparel line by BK Proctor dubbed Collections by BK Proctor. She’s this week’s #CelebrityCrush…

What do you like doing during your spare time?

Netflix- I honestly enjoy staying in bed and watching movies. I can stay home all weekend, on a movie marathon. That’s how I get to chill and be at ease.

Who is your celebrity crush?

Mmhh, this will definitely get me into trouble so I would rather not share. Ha-ha!

Are you single?

Well, I am not available.

How would someone get your special attention?
Genuine and free spirited. I appreciate positive vibes and good energy. If you are faking it, I will pick it up instantly.

What has been your best/worst date?
Best Date: Picnic vibes- outdoor, beautiful conversation with a person who matters. WORST DATE: let me not over share but yeah the person was just trying too hard to impress me. There was no chemistry, everything was forced and I couldn’t wait to get home.

Would you date a fan?

Why would I date a fan, that’s a recipe for DISASTER?

What would you change your name to?
Why change? Khumo is perfect.

What’s your biggest pet peeve?

People who spit saliva everywhere and anywhere really annoy me.

What’s your worst annoying habit?

It’s a secret, I can’t tell it to the world.

Do you ever get used to being a celebrity?

I will never get used to it trust me; I am sure most public figures would share the same sentiment. It’s a bit overwhelming but I can’t complain. It’s a path GOD chose for me.

Who is your biggest inspiration?

No one in particular but holistically I am inspired by people who fight, who are resilient and aim to achieve their dreams and goals but to mention a few, Oprah Winfrey, Trevor Noah and Nomzamo Mbatha.

You want me to expose people?Ha-ha, NEVER!

This week I started watching a Korean drama and what I have learnt so far is to dig deep, know my power and use it for good. People always tell me I have so much potential to do more but somehow I downplay myself. I guess I am afraid.

What would you like to be remembered about you?
My bubbly genuine personality. I am truly my father’s daughter, full of love and life.
