Mahotella Queens, inviZAble and Butler perform at Canadian Music Week

Toronto, Ontario, Canada — Just one week after inviZAble, announced the formation of an exciting new live electronic trio called ZAFARI, he has traveled to showcase across two events at Canadian Music Week, the largest showcase festival in Northern Europe festival held over ten days in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Now in its 37th year Canadian Music Week is Canada’s leading annual entertainment event dedicated to the expression and growth of the country’s music, media and entertainment industries.

Combining multifaceted information-intensive conferences; a trade exposition; awards shows and the nation’s largest new music festival which spans 7 nights of performances (May 6 – 12), hundreds of bands at more than 40 live music venues in downtown Toronto. 

inviZAble joined South African legends The Mahotella Queens, Jonathan Butler, Cape Town based up and coming band Brynn and Flying Bantus. inviZAble performed two shows over the course of the week, showcasing alongside his percussionist Dub Master China at the world renowned Yonge-Dundas Square a focal point of the downtown Toronto community. 

Delegates and artists from across the globe travelled to showcase and attend the conference. This year, the festival decided to Spotlight South African music and with the support of the Department of Arts & Culture, on behalf of Minister of Arts and Culture, Nkosinathi Emmanuel “Nathi” Mthethwa opened the conference officially announcing that SA is the spotlight country for this year’s edition of the Canadian Music Week 2019.

Commenting on the experience of the conference ,inviZAble and Dubmasta China were honoured to be able to groove with local and international audiences alike in their unifying spirit. Collaborating with inviZAble in making this trip happen, Vic Falls Carnival Director Craig Bright commented: “It was a pleasure to see the smiles when InviZAble brought his fresh flavour of South African house to the dance floor”.

The duo also performed on Young and Dundas Square in the heart of Toronto’s CBD where their music was enjoyed by young and old alike, forging new friendships with their fellow musicians and fans as they infected the city with their rhythm and dance. This is only the start of their global quest with exciting opportunities already confirmed for the next couple of months in Europe, UK and Hong Kong.

On the front line of his representation, inviZAble has now officially signed with SJN Agency, well known for her work across brands such as Locnville, Mi Casa, Moonchild Sanelly, this new beginning for one of SA’s most entertaining electronic artists will certainly prove to be a strong ally in a growing international footprint.  We look forward to an exciting couple of months ahead for this dynamic performance and can’t wait to share the spirit of Mzansi with the rest of the world.
