TKZee & Han-C to shut down 2017 with a bang!

In news that is expected to thrill, all loyal Botswana Craft patrons and socialisers alike will be happy to learn that the 40th Mascom Live Sessions dubbed #SeasonShutdown will feature South African Kwaito music trio group of Tokollo Tshabalala, Kabelo Mabalane, and Zwai Bala – TKZee. The group shot to prominence in late 1997 and early 1998 with their hit singles Palafala and Shibobo, and will on Friday 15th December headline the customary shindig, Mascom Live Sessions alongside Botswana’s extraordinaire crooner, Han-C.

The group which had disbanded to pursue solo careers will reunite for an exclusive performance at Botswana Craft.

This is not the first time, TKZee will be reuniting as they recently came together at the recent 2017 DStv Delicious International Food & Music Festival powered by Liberty at the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit in Midrand, Johannesburg, South Africa which #BotswanaUnplugged covered extensively witnessing an impressive line-up of international heavyweight artists among them Common, Imagination featuring  Lee John,  Alexander O’Neal, Omar and Femi Kuti alongside local talent of Thandiswa Mazwai, Bongo Maffin and Black Coffee.

Headlined by Tokollo Tshabalala, Kabelo Mabalane and Zwai Bala, the trio are legendary musical icons, put them together and you have the magic called TKZee,” said Botswana Craft Director, Ollie Groth recently.

The 40th Mascom Live Session “#seasonshutdown” is on scheduled for Friday 15th December at Botswana Craft.

“Mascom Live Sessions were started in 2011 with the aim of partnering local and foreign artists to share the stage.  The idea being that through sharing culture with others we could develop and create memorable moments of magic and love! Music being the food of love,” added Groth.

Furthermore, Groth said, “Since 2011, Botswana Craft has through the  accustomed Mascom Live Sessions hosted numerous legendary foreign and local artists including: Hugh Masekela, Salif Keita, Thomas Mapfumo, Oliver Mtukudzi, Lira, Zahara, Mi Casa, Bhudaza, Louis Mhlanga, Ringo Madlingozi, Freshlyground, Bongo Maffin, Selaelo Selota, Hotstix, and Mafikizolo, the Stampore trio, Kabo Leburu, Socca Moruakgomo, Lister Boleseng, Eugene Jackson. Nono Siile, Ndingo Johwa, Banjo Mosele, Shanti Lo, Samantha Mogwe, Punah Gabasiane, Kearoma Rantao, Mshilo, Nnunu Ramogotsi, Team Distant, A.T.I., Zeus, Culture Spears, MMP Family, Sharon Sibonge, Fresh Les, Mpho Sebina, Gaone Rantlhoiwa, Amantle Brown, Tomeletso Sereetsi & the Natives, John Selolwane, Thabang, Lizibo, Franco, Trinity Mpho and we are looking forward to host TKZee and HAN C for our #seasonshutdown!”

Tickets to the show which is expected to close the year 2017 with a bang will be available from Monday 20th November at Botswana Craft for P300 each.  The tickets are single entry and multi-entry wrist bands are available for P10 inside the venue for those who need to leave and re-enter.
