Soweto giants, Kaizer Chiefs are in Francistown to face and tussle their ‘friends’; beMOBILE premiership champions, Township Rollers at the Francistown Sports complex this coming Saturday.
Despite it being a preseason encounter, the Naturena boys have brought all their players to this clash as they prepare to face off archrivals Orlando Pirates in a much-fancied Soweto derby under the Carling Black Label Cup label banner next week (July 29).
Rollers meet Chiefs for the second time in a week after a 2 nil loss in the Maize Cup at the James Motlatsi Stadium in Klerksdorp in South Africa recently.
Chiefs coach Steve Khompela will be looking to defend his Carling Black Label cup and bring back lost trust by the fans to his club. The under fire coach knows a win against Pirates will prolong his stay at the club.
Meanwhile, the local lads Rollers knows a win against Chiefs will be motivation enough to send a stern warning to their local rivals. It will also be a platform for their new head coach, Nikola Kavazovic from Belgrade, Serbia to access his squad with a tougher opponent.
