KBL spoils consumers at the Castle Lite Unlocks experience
Local brewer, Kgalagadi Breweries Limited (KBL) this past week extended its support to local music, artists and consumers when they selected a few as their brand ambassadors to attend the biggest international festival dubbed Castle Lite Unlocks in Johannesburg, South Africa. The show was headlined by US trap superstars Bryson Tiller and Travis Scott at a 20, 000 sold out Tricketpro dome.
Among those on the Johannesburg experience included Botswana’s female Hip-hop sensation; Sasa Klaas, Bouncy, Melo, Ban-T and DJ Izzy, including over 50 consumers as well as the media.
In an exclusive interview with #BotswanaUnplugged, KBL’s Castle Lite Marketing Manager, Kgomotso Garebakwena said as a brand, they are grateful to their loyal consumers and taking a few to attend the #CastleLiteUnlocks festivity was their way of saying ‘Thank You’.
She said all those who were selected to attend the show in Johannesburg over three days had proven to be loyal consumers of the Castle Lite brand and truly deserved to be pampered and spoilt for their loyalty.
“Music is part of the DNA of the Castle Lite brand and for this reason, we saw it fit as Castle Lite Botswana to offer consumers and artists an opportunity to be a part of a memorable brand experience. We ran a competition online as well as in participating liquor stores which saw 40 consumers win a chance to be part of this VVIP experience. We look to grow the brand and encourage our consumers over the age of 18 to keep drinking Castle Lite and look out for more exciting competitions and promotions in future,” said Garebakwena.
Equally excited was Bouncy who noted that being part of the #CastleLiteUnlocks experience will significantly contribute positively to her music and brand appeal.
“I can’t really complain but praise KBL for a thoughtful gesture. Already I have made contacts with other international music players and I can’t wait to start working at cultivating those relationships with them. The #CastleLiteUnlocks experience was truly an eye opener as I got to learn a few tricks and ways which I intend to implement here at home.”
For his part, one of the Castle Lite Botswana brand ambassadors, Thuto Pheto alias Melo said it was amazing to be a part of this international experience. He said quit humbling for him about the #CastleLiteUnlocks international experience was how as an artist he can further his craft.
“I am a hip-hop artist and fan and I can’t be doing music continuously and yet I see no difference. This tour has actually brightened me up, as I got to learn and appreciate about the pre and post production of a successful music festival. It was amazing and I look forward to more of these engagements in future.”
The #Castle Lite Unlocks featured Bryson Tiller and Travis Scott as the main acts for this year’s concert. Tiller and Scott performed at the Castle Lite Unlocks Concerts on the 15th and 16th of June in Johannesburg and Polokwane respectively. Other artists included Cassper Nyovest and Ricky Rick.
