Last night, Thursday (21st July), Masa Square Hotel in the CBD, Gaborone became a beehive of activity when Botswana’s crème de la crème in fashion and music descended under the same roof for an epic night of Hip-hop music.
The venue presented an ideal platform for the launch of the much-awaited hip-hop act, Baanthata Mokgwathi AKA Ban T’s Naomi music video which premiered much to the delight of the copious, animated and chic crowd.
The red carpet affair hosted by Zenzele Hirschfeld of Zen Promotions had attracted Botswana’s who’s who in the music and fashion industry who braved the wintry spell to witness arguably one of Botswana’s best ever produced music videos which was directed by the artistic Owen Bands and features among others female hip-hop queen; Sasa Klaas, German Twins and Yarona FM’s Zizi Panther.

Ban T’s Naomi has been receiving generous airplay and continues to dominate Botswana’s airwaves as well as the party scene alike. We spotted the ever sultry-looking Sasa Klaas, the duo of Mavis and Lydia (popularly dubbed the German Twins) and Sadi Dikgaka from Flava Dome looking uber cool as usual.
Everybody who mattered was here; the likes of Kast, Yarona FM’s Bonnie Dintwa and K-Luv, APEX Properties’ Umesh Loona, Access TV’s Peelo, Tshepi-esS, Scar, Vee Mampeezy and the night was toast.
The Ban T official music Naomi video premiere was sponsored by Masa Square Hotel, Mascom, Mahindra, Yarona FM, #WHYSO?, Bantastic Sounds, Owen Bands, Lush Lifestyle and Zen Promotions.
