GABORONE, Botswana, August 2019 – Old school music fans will tonight (Friday, August 30th) have an inspired dance party at Botswana Craft, Gaborone courtesy of South African Kwaito legend, Thebe wa Lenyora.
“This one is all about the JIVE! We’re having a dance party! We also need a break from the norm so we invited the best DJ’s and Mr Thebe wa Lenyora to turn up the heat. This Friday, 30th August from 8pm and tickets sell for P240 or P200 with your My Zaka Visa card,” read a media communique this week.
The kwaito legend, known as the party starter and bad boy of kwaito, Thebe is expected to entertain Batswana revellers with his musical prowess alongside Botswana’s very own Robbie Rob, Boogie Sid and Mr. O.
Thebe shot to stardom and became a kwaito star after the release on his hit single “Bula Boot” and recently took a hiatus from the industry for two years, then returned with a bang, with the album ‘Lenyora,’ which sold like hot cakes and was certified platinum.
Over his fifteen year career, Thebe has gone on to record 12 successful albums that have solidified him a spot in the Kwaito hall of fame.
Tonight’s show is supported by: The Voice, Duma FM, Travelodge, the Gazette, MI5 and Mascom, No 1 because of you! See you there!
