GABORONE, BOTSWANA — This month, March marks her 6th year journey on the Frequency Modulation (FM) spectrum. The vivacious lass officially known as Botlhe Jane Kgosimore is a weekend radio presenter with Botswana’s leading radio station, Duma FM where she hosts a show aptly tagged “Youth Rendezvous” on Saturdays from 12 to 2pm.

Her spell with radio began in 2013 where her outspoken and eloquent capabilities saw her clinching a Sales and Marketing Executive position with Duma FM parallel with a role behind the microphone. Apart from captivating her listeners, the Moshupa-born lass spends time on her current studies pursuing her BCom Degree in Entrepreneurship.

Born to Christian family of five, Botlhe says it has helped her appreciate spirituality, but that does not hinder her free-spirited and wild charm. Her broadcasting journey gave rise to voicing and an ever energetic delivery of Outside Broadcasting for Duma FM clients. The year 2017 saw her co-hosting the BOMU awards which was her first television production.

She is passionate about HIV issues in relation to its impact on the youth as seen through her relationship with the International organisation Sentebale – which she facilitated at the inaugural #LetYouthLead Sentebale Youth HIV Summit in 2017 and 2018 respectively in the presence of the first lady of the Republic of Botswana, Neo Jane Masisi. “Developing strong relationships is the foundation of everything I do, both professionally and personally,” she’s this week’s crush…

Change Botlhe Jane!!! Never, that’s my identity & I’ll forever roll with it.
