GABORONE, BOTSWANA – This sassy and bubbly lady steadily rose to stardom after being selected Top Model Botswana and representing Botswana in London and then going on to be crowned Miss World Supermodel 2015 in representing us in Fiji, which she later became the national director for in Botswana.
Her journey within the high-fashion, modeling and pageantry world continued to reach new heights when she walked for London Fashion Week, became the Head judge and trainer of Little Miss Princess of the World Botswana and was also a judge during the 2017 Miss Botswana Consumer Fair. Apart from killing it on the runway, the Gaborone-born, Oodi-raised Inger is also a TV presenter, creative director and a singer and a songwriter. She is this week’s crush…
What do you like doing in your spare time?
In my spare time I watch movies and I read. I spend a lot of time singing and writing songs. I also cook and spend time with loved ones and just relax at home.
Who is your celebrity crush?
The same as every other sane person on earth, it’s Rihanna.
Are you single?
How would someone get your special attention?
I don’t think there is a set or defined way to get my attention. Every time I am drawn to someone, it is for completely different reasons than what drew me to someone else.
What has been your best/worst date?
I don’t have a first date preference but I can’t promise to be in my highest spirits if there’s no food involved. Any date where the person is rude to the wait staff is the worst date ever. It makes me so uncomfortable and I completely lose interest in whoever it is.
Would you date a fan?
I’m not easily attracted to people so I would go on a date with anyone who I feel drawn to, fan or otherwise.
What would you change your name to?
I would never change my name. I might add someone’s name to mine one day, but I will never change any of my names.
What’s your biggest pet peeve (something that’s particularly annoying)?
“Never mind” has always been my biggest pet peeve. I find it so annoying for people to bring something up and then not finish it. I know it’s silly but it just irks me.
What’s your annoying habit?
I have a lot of annoying habits depending on where I am in my life. I talk too much, I can be very stubborn, I eat way too much even when I’m not hungry, etc. I could keep going but I’ll be kind to myself.
Do you ever get used to being a celebrity?
I don’t feel like a celebrity. I never think of myself as one. The people who support me are so kind and amazing that it just feels like having a lot of friends. I know that sounds corny AF (sic) but it’s true. I pursue what I love and try to inspire and uplift others. That is where my focus is, not fame.
Who is your inspiration?
There are so many people who inspire me and it’s always hard to pin point just one person. I am really lucky to be surrounded by really intelligent, hard-working, kind, creative people so I never have to look very far for inspiration. My friends and family give me an endless supply without even trying.
What languages do you speak?
I speak English and Setswana fluently. I used to be quite fluent in French but it’s been a couple of years since I’ve been able to practice regularly so I’m back to lessons this year.
Where would like to visit?
Everywhere! Every country on God’s beautiful Earth.
If you were not famous. What would you be up to?
The exact same thing I’m up to now. I love what I do.
Who is the messiest person you know?
Can’t think of anyone at the moment!
What’s the most interesting thing you have read or seen this week?
Beautiful and thought-provoking artwork by my friend and favourite artist, Ann Gollifer.
What would you like to be remembered about you?
That I chased down my dreams relentlessly and always tried to be kind and loving, even when people might have been undeserving of my kindness and my love.
