Gaborone, – Standard Chartered Bank Botswana Limited recently launched its card loyalty programme – 360O Rewards. Alongside the rewards programme, the Bank also introduced two (2) new premium credit cards, VISA Platinum and the first and only VISA Infinite card in the Botswana market.
360O Rewards is a fully digital end-to-end card loyalty programme that rewards all Standard Chartered Bank customers for their day-to-day spends on both credit and debit cards. All Standard Chartered Bank customers are automatically enrolled for the programme but are required to register a 360O Rewards account online to access the platform.
Standard Chartered customers will earn Rewards points for all local and international spends made at point-of-sale (POS) machines and online transactions that use their VISA debit and credit cards. Customers will earn points on all Debit – Gold, Platinum and Infinite and all Credit – Gold, and the newly introduced Platinum and Infinite Cards. The platform guarantees a minimum of 1 Reward Point for every P1 spent with accelerated points earning of 2 Reward Points and 3 Rewards Points for every P1 spent on Platinum and Infinite cards respectively on selective every day spends. In addition, customers can link up to five (5) Standard Chartered VISA debit and Credit cards under one 360O Rewards profile to accumulate more rewards points.
Rewards points can be redeemed online at the customer’s convenience for local and international flights, car hire, hotel stays, exchanged for a growing list of airline frequent flyer miles or on the embedded shopping catalogue that includes a wide range of items from mobile airtime to high-end fashion items and electronic gadgets.
In her opening remarks, Head of Retail Banking, Pedzani Tafa highlighted that the Bank was keen to offer greater value to its customers with its loyalty programme, “Loyalty programmes are not a new concept, but our 360o Rewards programme, is an evolutionary step and one that is the truest sense of reward from Standard Chartered Bank to our customers for just being an active customer that continues to get on with their normal day-to-day spending. 360o Rewards is designed to fit to your lifestyle not for you to change your spending habits to fit to the programme.”
To compliment the 360o Rewards launch, Standard Chartered Bank further introduced two (2) premium credit cards, VISA Platinum and the flagship VISA Infinite card. The VISA Infinite card is globally the highest tier of card offering the highest levels of access, service, and privilege at home and abroad for high net-worth customers. Standard Chartered Bank is currently the first and only bank in Botswana to offer the VISA Infinite card with both debit and credit options to its customers.
In a product demonstration to clients, Standard Chartered Bank highlighted the array of benefits available to Platinum and Infinite card holders including extended warranty and purchase protection on goods purchased with the respective cards in addition to accelerated points earning for the 360o Rewards programme. Over and above these benefits, the VISA Infinite card offers unlimited and free access to over 900 airport lounges worldwide with an accompanying guest for free. The Infinite card further offers emergency medical and repatriation benefits and access to multi-trip travel insurance for the card holder and their family members.

The 360o Rewards programme is live and available to all Standard Chartered Bank customers through the Bank’s website and new applications or upgrades to the new premium credit cards can be done through the Bank’s national branch network.
