It is often said, “If you educate a man, you educate an individual, but if you educate a woman, you educate a nation,” and this Fanti Proverb has somewhat become synonymous and is often thrown around drolly during most women engagements. It is therefore fitting that when a newly-established women oriented workshop dubbed ‘Mosadi Tota’ convened different female professionals in a bid to interrogate bespoke women affairs in a talk shop scheduled for Avani Hotel, Gaborone on November 3rd, they also chose to echo the consistent idiom to harness their prowess ahead of the impending seminar.
“The concept seeks to encourage team work amongst women, such as networking, discovering and appreciating young talent, support and foster growth for women in business and in the long run to keep more young women busy and away from vulnerability.” According to the organizers, the do is aimed at empowering women and further cultivating their growth whether mentally, physically, financially or socially, so they too can make meaningful strides in their chosen vocations.
Tickets to the event sell for BWP300. 00 and include dinner, a live performance and a motivational session. The event is proudly sponsored by Botswana Gender-Based Violence Prevention & Support Center, In Synch Media, Tlhase Films and Avani Resort & Casino.
