As a way of showing its support towards local sporting talent, MultiChoice Botswana yesterday celebrated #TeamBotswana athletes who recently brought home gold, silver and bronze medals from The Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games. The celebratory brunch was hosted by MultiChoice Botswana Acting General Manager, Theo Erasmus and held at the MultiChoice Botswana Gaborone Branch Main Boardroomon May 7, 2018.
Since its entry into the market in 1992, MultiChoice Botswana has supported various different initiatives in line with growing local talent. Most recently, in celebration of Botswana’s 50 years of independence, MultiChoice in conjunction with M-Net commissioned a locally produced documentary titled, “We Are All Blue” which later aired on Zambezi Magic (DStv 160) as a way of showing its support towards local content production. As a local brand MultiChoice Botswana seizes any opportunity to celebrate home-grown talent.
Speaking at the Celebratory Brunch held at the MultiChoice Botswana offices in Gaborone, Marketing & PR Manager Thembile Ndzinge said, “MultiChoice Botswana firmly believes in the notion that entertainment enriches lives. With DStv, our customers have the ability to learn, be inspired, laugh, explore and grow through the wide range of content we have on our packages. It is against this background that we found it fitting to show our appreciation to our athletes by giving them each our top-of-the-range Explora decoder inclusive of Annual Subscription to our Premium package.”
Keeping in line with its dedication to fostering partnerships which support local sporting talent, Ndzinge also added, “MultiChoice Botswana has keen interest in seeing where and how we can continue to support our athletes as they continue to prepare for more world-stage sporting events. We look forward to a fruitful relationship with the Botswana National Olympics Committee and the other sporting bodies who work tirelessly to support our athletes.”
Present at the Celebratory Brunch were Amantle Montsho, Christine Botlogetswe, Loungo Matlhako, Galefele Moroko, Baboloki Thebe and Onkabetse Nkobolo. Isaac Makwala was not able to attend as he is in Doha for the IAAF Diamond League Games which are available on SuperSport 8 Africa.
